Children

Poor vision in children hinders learning and behaviour.  One in five children has an undetected eye problem.

At iSpy we offer a relaxed and friendly environment in which kids can have their eyes tested, stress free.  We have child-friendly charts and eye games to play to make the whole experience more fun.

Ideally children should have their eyes tested yearly from 18 months.  Any defects can then be diagnosed and treated before school age.  By six or seven it is often too late to effectively test conditions such as squints or lazy eyes.

Children under 16 or 19, if still in education, have an eye test under the NHS, and often there is no additional charge for glasses if required.
